My father, Jack Blaker passed away in 2017 at our home in Fredericksburg, Tx. I cannot bring myself to update his profile and add sources yet. His paternal family immigrated from Moravia, Bohemia, Czecholslovakia. There is a great online family tree for this family already, and I will eventually get around to migrating the information to wikitree. https://www.randallblecha.com
I have spent years trying to break through my McDonald MacDonald brick wall to no avail.
My primary research interests are the early settlers and history of Nacogdoches and Rusk Counties of Texas. I am working on adding profiles for my very large East Texas family branch.
I am a documented Cherokee descendant, ineligible for Cherokee Nation citizenship, due to the fact that my ancestors were residing in Texas at the time of the Dawes Commission.
My mothers birth was an NPE event. I have discovered through DNA who her paternal family is, but will likely not be adding much of it to wikitree myself.

Anyway, it is always a pleasure to make contact with someone who can improve to data on my profile.

Look on the Texas Project page at all of the Space pages which are located here, and which cover Texas. You might see something that sparks a thought for another Texas space page.
I added the categories that exist to David Gage's profile. Added War of 1812 sticker, broke your profile into paragraphs. You did well on the profile. He was in the military longer, but cannot ID the war. If you are from Texas, answer the Texas post on g2g and I will add you. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1408927/do-you-live-have-ancestors-from-texas-join-the-texas-project

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Happy tree climbing
