James Bleak was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Biography

James Godson Bleak was born on November 15, 1829 in Southwark, Surrey, England, the son of Thomas Blake and Mary. He was baptized on November 29, 1829 at the St George the Martyr Church in Southwark.[1][2]

He married Elizabeth Moore on October 14, 1849 at the St. James Church in Behtel Green, London, Middlesex, England.

He immigrated to the United States, travelling in 1856 to Utah with the Edward Martin Company of handcarts.[3]

James passed away on January 30, 1918 in St. George, Washington County, Utah.[4][5]
