Tabitha is the daughter of William (1765-1844) and Abigail Susannah (Caudill) Pennington (1767-1860). Abigail's brothers James, Stephen, Matthew and Thomas Aaron also came to Letcher County to settle. Her parents are buried in Webbville, Lawrence Co., KY
