Biography

Thomas was born March 24th 1889 in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. He married Maude Richardson June 2nd 1907 in Jefferson County. Maude was born July 30th 1884 in Virginia. Thomas and Maude had 3 children.

Thomas died January 31st 1913 at the age of 23 and Maude died April 13th 1914 at the age of 29. The small marker to the left of their headstone is their daughter Nina. It appears she died young.

Obituary

Thomas J. Bond, W. M. brakeman, died Friday afternoon at 4 pm, at his home, 334 N. Locust St. from typhoid fever, aged 23 years, 10 months, and 7 days. He had been ill about six weeks, five of which was spent at the hospital. About a week ago he had sufficiently recovered to return to his home but on Sunday last he suffered a relapse. He was a member of the W. M. Relief Association. He is survived by his wife, Maud, and three small children; father, John H. Bond, Harpers Ferry; brothers, John M.. Albert C., and Luther, all of Harpers Ferry; Wm N. Bond of Hagerstown; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Ovelman, of this city.

Funeral Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services at the house. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
