Biography

As with most women in the 1700's I have found very little information for Sarah.

Estate of John Bond Petition for Guardian:
The petition of Benjamin Crow, of the township of Springfield in the county of Bucks humbly sheweth, that John Bond late of the said township of Springfield, dec’d, left issue by Charity, his wife, now the wife of your petitioner, three children all minors under the age of fourteen years, viz Sarah, Samuel, & Thomas who are respectfully entitled to a share in the estate of their father. Your petitioner therefore prays that the Honorable Court would appoint one or more suitable persons & take charge if the persons & estates of the said children during their minority and your petitioner will pray. Benjamin Crow

The Court taking into consideration the petition of Benjamin Crow above ______ do appoint Garret Vanhorne to be guardian of the said children, viz Sarah, Samuel, & Thomas Bond to take care of their estates during the minority.

There are 2 more petitions for guardian for these 3 children. The final guardian was William Hicks, assigned in 1779.

1800 02/06 Land Sale Bucks County: Samuel Bond of Pikeland tsp, Chester Co , weaver, and Thomas Bond of Springfield tsp [Bucks County], cordwainer, sell land in Springfield tsp to Christian Shimmel of Upper Saucon tsp, weaver, subject to 1/3 of purchase price being held in trust for benefit of their sister Sarah Keith.
