I erred in creating this profile (Bond-7350) and would like to remove it. A "Samuel Thompson Bond" was born in Nova Scotia about the same time that a Samuel Bond, who later lived in Portland, Maine, was born. I thought they were the same person but I WAS WRONG. There already is a profile for "Thompson Bond" (Bond-1922). This is the same person as Samuel Thompson Bond, but I did not know that 3 years ago when I created this profile. This profile (Bond-7350) should NOT be merged with Bond-1922 because much of the information and sources refer to a different person -- now, Bond-9341. I apologize for the error and hope there will be no objections to removing the profile.

I have removed children and spouse attributed to Bond-7350 and added them to Bond-9341. They are two separate people. Originally, I thought they were the same person and erred in adding the wife and children of Bond-9341 to Bond-7350. This is one of the steps to correct that error.

When I created this file for Samuel Bond (b. 1821, Maine) I mistakenly conflated him with Samuel Thompson Bond (b. 1824, Nova Scotia). I now know they are two separate people. The military service as well as the wife and children listed in this profile are those of Samuel from Maine whereas the parents are those of Samuel Thompson from Nova Scotia. Two separate profiles are needed. I plan to remove the information that pertains to Samuel Thompson and add information that is correct for Samuel from Maine. However, there will then be no profile for Samuel Thompson Bond, who was a real and separate person. Would someone else be interested in re-creating a profile for Samuel Thompson Bond?
