Biography

Jordan Bonner, Sr. was born on 12 Dec 1767 in Green Hall, Chowan County, North Carolina to Thomas Bonner and Margaret (Jones) Bonner.

Jordan married Unknown Martin and they had one child together. Jordan's first wife and their child died in an house fire in about 1793 when the child was young.

After their death, Jordan married Rachel Moon in 1796. Jordan and Rachel had seven children: Hiram; Seaborne Lafayette; Olive; Jordan; Henry; Ahab; and Matilda.

After Rachel’s death, Jordan married Mary Polly Adams on 03 Oct 1811 in Clarke County, Georgia. Jordan and Polly moved to Washington County, Alabama shortly after they were married.

Polly became concerned over her and their children’s well-being, so she asked Jordan for them to move to Choctaw County, Alabama. Shortly after the family moved, the village where Jordan and Polly lived was attacked by Indians. There were very few survivors.

Jordan and Polly had 13 children: Mahala; Elizabeth; Allen; Emily; Thomas; George Washington; Wilmoth Almira; Rebecca Ann; James H.; Arrena; William M. “Bill”; Josiah; and Amelia.

He died at 73 years of age on 08 May 1841 in Washington County, now Choctaw County, Alabama, and is buried there in Bonner Memorial Cemetery. [1]

Bonner-1253 and Bonner-497 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person. Find a grave shows that the different wives are actually wife #2 and #3. They need to be merged and wife #1 found.

This profile appears to be a duplicate of Bonner-497 with the exception of forename spelling. I would suggest that you get assistance from an experienced WikiTreer when attempting a merge of the two trees.

Bonner-1193 and Bonner-497 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, when I created Jordan Bonner it did not initiate any selections for possible matches. Maybe because I didn't spell the name the same but these are the same person if you would like to merge them. Thanks!
