Nancy was born on 21 November 1808 in Patrick Co., VA. Her parents moved to Lawrence Co., OH between 1810-1817 where she grew up.
"Slander Suit between Nancy and Daniel Boothe Against John Scott", April 1826, On 27 Jun 1825 Nancy Boothe, "an infant under eighteen years of age who sues by Daniel Boothe the father..." John Scott for $500 damages for "slanderous and actionable words falsely and maliciously spoken by defendant... the crime of perjury". John evidently said in public that he would send Nancy to the penetentary for lying about the number of rails broken in Daniel Boothe's fence and trespassing in the trial involving Joas Meaning. Daniel contended that as a result of the slander Nancy "is very much prejudiced hurt and damnified in her good name fame credit and reputation and is fallen into public scandal and disgrace among all her neighbors..." Daniel won $275.
She married Bennet Earles on 7 September 1826 there in Lawrence Co., OH. They were founding members of Symmes Creek Missionary Baptist Church on 12 May 1819. She died from pressure on the brain that caused paralysis on 10 May 1888. An article in LAWCO LORE has a death date of 20 May but the headstone has 10 May.
