There is a memorial stone to him in Handsworth Church: 'Here lyeth the body of John Booth late of Hansworth-Woodhouse gentleman; servant to the right honourable Gilbert Earl of Shrewsbury. He was ... in the profession of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the same John died in the same Christian faith, the sixty first yere of age, the 16 day of June anno Domini 1613. And Ann his wife'
This person has been detached as son of John Booth (1527-bef.1564), due to his birth date being before his supposed father's birth. The Visitation source does not name his father. It states that he was of Derbyshire (presumably the north of the county), not the borough of Derby.
