Biography
Adam was the son of Sir Raph Bostock and Isabel, daughter and heir of William Lawton.[1][2][3]
Sir Adam Bostock, Lord Bostock of Bostock, Cheshire (d. Apr 1475).[4]
Adam married Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Hugh Venables baron of Kinderton.[1][2] They were married by or before 1443, when their son Adam was born.
They had 9 children:[1][2]
Adam (b. c. 1434 - d. Sep 1459 Battle of Blore Heath, age abt. 25), unmarried; no known heirs.
Rafe of Bostock m. Alice, dau. and coheir of Sir Thomas Dutton of Dutton, and was poisoned;[1]
Ellin m. Humfrey Bostock of Mortensay in Salop.[1]
Elizabeth "Maria" (will proved 1501) m. John Gatacre of Gataker, Shropshire.[1][5]
Nicholas of Morburley [Moberley],[1] m. Katherine, dau. and coheir of Sir William Mobberley;[6]
On 23 September 1459, Adam and his son Adam fought for the Lancastrians at Blore Heath,[7]in Staffordshire.
His son Adam, was killed by Yorkist forces.
Sir Adam, himself, survived the battle, dying in April 1475.
