According to notes from genealogy: "He was a man of acknowledged Christian integrity, and he was one of the largest owners of real estate in Poundridge. His assessed valuation on the records is 970 pounds sterling. He died at Poundridge in 1823."
Other notes in a Genealogy from Pound Ridge Historical Society state that Jesse Bouton s/Ebenezer and Abigail Bouton was born in New Canaan about 1748 and died in Pound Ridge in 1800. Also that he married Rachel Ferris, not Sarah Ferris.
