John was enumerated as Head of household in the "United States Census" for the years 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880. Only 1880 listed his birth as about 1808. The other years showed his birth a year earlier about 1807. John lived in Kentucky from before 1850 with his wife and ten children. His marriage to Elizabeth Chapman was February 28, 1830 in Lawrence County, Kentucky.[1] There first known child was James W who was born about 1834. John and Elizabeth may have had upto 13 children, three of which may have left the family hom before the United States Census of 1850. In the census of 1880, A 72 year-old John was listed as having an occupation as a farmer and passed away sometime afterward.[2][3][4][5]
