On Saturday, June 09, 1937 [sic s/b June 19, 1937], the Angel of Death visited our home and took away our precious little son and brother, Ralph Bowen. It was so hard for us to give him up, but it is sweet for us to know that he is at rest in the Everlasting Arms where sickness, nor pain, no death can ever touch him more. As a little bud, the Lord has plucked him to blossom in the garden above. "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Some glad day the Lord will call us home and how sweet to think that when he does our little darling will be watching for us at the Beautiful Gate. Father, Mother and Brothers. [2]
