"David was born in Cape Elizabeth, 17 Mar 1787, moved to Durham as a young man and opened the first public bakery there. He married 19 Dec 1811 Nancy Ann Becket, b. 3 Mar 1783 in England, d. Durham 3 Jan 1854. In 1812 he was a private in the Durham Militia. He died in Danville and was buried at Pleasant Hill, Durham."[1]
