George McPherson Boyd was born in 1837 in Newberry, South Carolina to Mark Moore Boyd and Elizabeth Cannon Epting.[1] He married Mary Jane Thompson in 1858 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.[2] After Mary's death, George married Corinne Anderson in 1891 in South Carolina.[3][4] He passed away in 1914 in Spartanburg, South Carolina and is buried in the Mount of Olives Cemetery in Johnston, South Carolina.[5]
