The Bradley Line

"The connection of the Connecticut Bradleys with theirr English home has not been absolutely proved, yet there seem many proofs in favor of this conclusion."

Many genealogists have accepted as gospel the Bradley line as laid out by Cutter that is:

I. William Bradley of Sheriff Hutton

II. William, son of William, who was of Coventry England and married Agnes Margate

III. William, son of William and Agnes Bradley, married Joanna Waddington who allegedly had:

IV. William who died in New Haven in 1691

The visitations of Warwickshire list a male child of William Bradley and Joanna Waddington, and the Cutter book puts forth several arguments in favor of this scenario, (See attached text)

Biography

The Visitations are notorious for not containing dates so estimates have to be made.

Marriage William and Joanna had four daughters before 1619 and a son in 1619. So they were married before 1614, allowing two years between children, they may have been married about 1610.

Birth Estimating from that their births would be broadly about 1590, he in Coventry, she in Nottinghamshire, according to the "visitations."

This is not the same Bradley family, that was in Bingley, Yorkshire.

There is no evidence that this man or his family went to New England.

And all of the following facts are probably incorrect, except the birth place.
