Lived for a time in Merrickville, Ontario, where son Barnabus M. Bragg was born n 1855.
William Bragg was born in 1807/1808 in Maine. There were many Bragg families in Maine in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and undoubtedly William came from one of these. He ended up in Ontario, Canada where he married Alzina Nettleton on April 19, 1832 near Merrickville.
He was a woodworker/cabinet maker by trade.
They lived in Canada for a few years, then moved to Rochester, NY in the late 1830's...probably because of Alzina's growing involvement in the newly formed Mormon religion. Eventually, in the late 1840's, they moved back to Canada and then about 1855/1856 they moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. They were there several years and then moved into Pierce County, Wisconsin. William and Alzina both died in Lost Creek, Pierce County, Wisconsin but they were both brought to Red Wing for burial.
