Marie Celine Braille was born in Coupvray, France on 26 Nivose an VI (15 January 1798). She was the daughter of Louis Simon Braille, harness maker, and Monique Baron[1]. She was twelve years older than her brother Louis.
Marie Céline Braille married François Louis Isidore Marniesse, farrier, on 7 June 1819 in Coupvray[1].
She died at home in Coupvray on 9 June 1841[2].
