Research Notes
MyHeritage lists children by marriage to Howell as Joseph Howell born 1770, Dudley Howell Jr born 1773 in Frederick County, Virginia and Enoch Howell born 1775 and Francis Howell born 1776. If children are correct, husband's full name was likely Dudley Howell Sr.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Please note event date for this Rev War Pension is 1838 but her death is listed prior to that. The Find A Grave Memorial marker is a contemporary one and may have the wrong date but I think this pension does not apply to her. There are several John Watsons listed in the Revolutionary War App but the one that appears to match this pension contains this statement: That her said husband and her were married on the 26th day of July 1808 -- and that her maiden name was Mary Frances Gaudy [could be "Gandy" or "Gowdy"
I have not spent enough time researching this to be sure. Would you please take a look?
Brannan-42 and Brannon-748 appear to represent the same person because: The majority of the information is correct. I believe it to be the same person.
I have not spent enough time researching this to be sure. Would you please take a look?
Thanks!
