John Robert Brannon was born in 1857 in Boiling Springs Spartanburg County, South Carolina, the son of William H. Brannon and Harriett (Seay) Brannon. He was the brother of Judity (Brannon) Hall, Martha C. (Brannon) Burnett and Emma (Brannon) Hightower.[1]
John married Amanda E Bishop. They had at least the following children:
John died on January 25, 1936 in Spartanburg County and was buried at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Cemetery in Boiling Springs, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, USA.[5]
