Alice was buried in June 1935 in Cave City, Sharp County, Arkansas. Note: Palestine Cemetery and Church are located west of Cave City, Arkansas about 3.0 miles. Starting at Cave City Post Office: Go north on 167 highway a few feet, turn left (WEST) on West Center Street, go about 2.5 miles. Turn off on Rainbow Lane for a couple blocks, then left on Palestine Road. Cemetery will be on left.[1]
14 Aug 1881: Miss Alice Brasher and W H Dotson (22) were married in Sharp County, Arkansas. The record notes that Alice was 17 and a resident of Sharp County.[2][3]
4 Aug 1882: Alice G Dotson and Merida Dickson were married in Sharp County, Arkansas.[4][5]
23 Sep 1888: Mrs. Alice Dixon and J L Jones (57) were married in Sharp County, Arkansas. The record reflects that Alice was 24 years old and a resident of Reed's Creek, Sharp County, Arkansas.[6][7]
1900 Census: Allice Jones and her husband John L Jones (69) are living the Cave Township of Sharp County, Arkansas. The record shows that Allice was 36, born in Tennessee during May of 1864, that she had been married to John for 11 years, and that she was the mother of 6 children of which 4 were living at the time of the census. Children living in the home were Louisa C Jones (10), Josaphine C Jones (5), George M Jones (3), and William C. Dixon (14). William Dixon is listed on the census as a step-son of John Jones.[8]
17 Jan 1909: Mrs. Alice Jones and W T Hardin (51) were married Sharp County, Arkansas. The record indicates that Alice was 44 and a resident of Maxville, Sharp County, Arkansas.[9][10]
1910 Census: Alice Hardin is living in the Cave Township of Sharp County, Arkansas. The record notes that Alice is a widow, 45 years of age, born in Tennessee, and that she was the mother of 9 children but that only 6 were living at the time of the census. Chidren residing in the home were George Jones (13), Mary Jane Jones (8), and Bertie Legg Jones (3).[11]
