One source of confusion is that there are two Emmert - Braus marriages, fairly close together. Ages are not noted in the source documents, so proper identification is difficult. The bride may or may not be the same individual. The following marriage record was used as a source for building the identity of this current individual, Johann Philip Emmert (son of Peter Emmert), who married an Anna Margaretha Braus (daughter of ___ ) in Germany in 1725.
