Biography

Hannah Briggs was born in 1685, Kingston, Washington County, Rhode Island. Her parents were Daniel Briggs and Lydia Higby. Hannah married Joseph Gardiner 1710, in Rhode Island. She was mentioned in her father’s Will. Hannah Gardiner passed away in 1726, in East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

  • The Gardiners of Narangansett , ref GN 27 shows Joseph Gardner (Joseph 3) b. 1671 or 1672 married to Hannah Briggs and as child of George Gardiner and Tabitha Teft.

The Gardiners of Narrangansett, Note 38a explains that it is probable that Hannah Briggs was married to Joseph 3 and not Joseph 4.
