Constance Brigham was born about 1602 probably at Holme-On-Spalding-Moor, Yorkshire, England, where her parents Thomas Brigham and Isabel (Watson) were married in 1601 and where they both died. On 19 March 1633 "'Constance Brigham alias Crosby' [was] named as an administratrix of the estate of her father" and "Constance Crosby my daughter" was given 5s by her mother, Isabel Brigham, in her will of 8 June 1634.[1]
It is presumed that she arrived in New England in December 1638 aboard the ship John of London with a group led by Ezekiel Rogers.[2]
Constance and Robert Crosby were married about 1622,[3] most likely in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor as that is where they were from and that is where their children were baptized:[4]
Constance died in 1683 and was buried 25 January 1683 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts.[5][6]
