danbrittond (View posts) Posted: 4 Feb 2007 5:41PM Classification: Query William Britton (1754-1813)was a loyalist born in NJ who moved to New Brunswick following the Revolutionary War. His wife was named Christianna Moody. I have them having a son James Moody Britton who married Catherine Thorne in New Brunswick in 1802. I have no information on the children of James and Catherine, but suspect your Moody L. Britton was a grandson. GailDarby91 (View posts) Posted: 22 Mar 2010 11:51AM Classification: Query I was wondering if you had found any further information in the last couple of years.

One of my ancesters,Elizabeth Craft (1785-1868) married James Moody Brittain (1779-1857) on May 2,1813. Her first husband,Joseph Littlehale died in 1812.

I have her children listed as Suzanne Craft Brittain, William Craft Brittain, Samuel Littlehale Brittain (1820- ), Mary Dunham Brittain(1823- ), Harriet Ann Brittain, James Wetmore Brittain (1828- ) and Christianna Brittain (1833- ).

I wonder if this could be the same James Moody Brittain? When I saw the name Christianna, I thought that there might be a connection.
