It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.

There is no persuasive reason to believe that this Mary (Brooks) Norcross was the daughter of Dea. Henry Brooks of Woburn, Mass., and every reason to believe that she was not. Henry's rather exhaustive will makes no mention of Mary or any Norcross son in law or grandchildren. Please detach her from these parents.
Mary could have been dead before Henry Brooks died; Richard Norcross remarried 16 Nov 1673. I agree that Mary may not be the daughter of Henry, but until we find a source that she is or is the daughter of someone else, I won't delete this relationship.
Barry, can you elaborate "every reason to believe that she was not." Is there actual contradictory evidence (other than the omission from the will)? I tend to agree that one needs positive evidence to justify a relationship. I am curious that the Tributaries site has kept her as a daughter since the researcher is very meticulous.
As a side note, I did see that there was a mtDNA test from a descendant of Martha Brooks. If someone could track down a female line descendant of Mary's, it might give some hints. A match, while not definitive, would be one piece of evidence pointing in that direction.
