Biography

Anne Broughton was born on 26 May 1862 in Huddersfield, on St. Peter Street. Her parents were William Broughton and Frances Armitage.[1]

She was a burler, which is someone who works in the textile industry, finishing cloth.[2]

Annie married Beaumont Jackson on 23 September 1882, at the Independent Chapel in Huddersfield. She was living on Ravens Knowle Road in Dalton, Huddersfield.[2]

She came to Canada in 1904.

She died in Minto, Manitoba, on 14 July 1940.[3] She is buried in Boyd Cemetery.
