b. in Lancaster Mass about 1719. m. Oct, 31, 1739 Sarah, dau. of Edward and Martha Broughton</u> of Lancaster. Thomas lived in the part of Lancaster which was set off as the town of Leominster in 1740 Aug. 21, 1743, the brethren by vote signified yr. willingness that Gardner Wilder & Thomas White should joyn with others in forming a church in Leominster. Mar. 25, 1744, the Church Discovered their willingness that the Wife of Thomas White should be recommended & joyned to ye Church of Christ in Leominster. (From Records of First Church in Lancaster).
In 1739, Sarah, aged about 16 years, nominated James Wilder of Lancaster to be her guardian.[1]
They moved to New Salem, Mass about 1755 and from there to Putney, Vt.
He d. in Sept 1806. (She died in 1784. They are both buried in the East Putney Cemetery, in Putney, VT. MJ)
