Biography

Minnie Cornelia Brown was born on 18 Jan 1878 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents George Brown (Browne) and Maria (Mariah) Eagan. Her father died when she was 2 years old in Nickerson, Kansas, and her mother remarried when she was 5 years old.

At age 15 she lived with her sister Laura Scott and helped care for her two children.

She married Andrew (Andy) Bonaparte Spradley in 1897 in Nickerson, Kansas.

Children: Virginia (Virgie) Agnes, Francis William (Bud), Baby Girl, Andrew (Andy Byron), Lyle Browne.

She moved from Kansas to Anacortes by train with her husband, children, and mother-in-law Temperance Elizabeth Whittinghill in Apr 1907. After her husband died in 1939 she lived with her children, Virgie, Francis, and Lyle, at different times.

She died on 3 Jul 1953 in Altadena, Los Angeles, California.
