Biography

His father James Brumfield was on the Amelia Co VA tithe lists.1738-1744. Father James came from King William where he had a land grant - James Brumfield II patented land in King William Co., 100 Acres in 1719)

James Brumfield died in Montgomery Co., Virginia - after his death his land fell in the new county of Giles.

James died July 1787 in Montgomery - It was HIS SON James who died died in 1803

James was born in 1722. He passed away in 1803. (1787) He married Mary "Polly" Seay, likely about 1749 as their first child was born in 1750.
