Alexander Bryce was born 20 Apr 1822 in Linlithgowshire, Scotland.[1]
Alexander married Isabella Watt at Whitburn, Linlithgowshire on the 3rd of May, 1851.[2] They would have at least 12 children together. Alexander and Isabella immigrated to New South Wales with Alexander's brother WIlliam Bryce and his wife Mary (nee Stark) in about 1851 or 1852. They initially lived at Jamberoo with an uncle, John Russell, before purchasing the Erowal Estate near Tomerong and St Georges Basin in 1854.[3]
Isabella's siblings james and Ann Watt followed them in 1853.
Alexander died from pulmonary apoplexy at Erowal on the 8th of November, 1898,
[4][5][6][7][8] and was buried at the Nowra Cemetery.[9]
After his death, Isabella moved north to Queensland with 5 of their children, and lived with her son Ben and his family until her death in 1922.[10]
