At 85, on the 27th of November, 1946, her sister Margaret died, in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, at 86.
At 88, on the 1st of October, 1949, she died in Karori, Wellington, New Zealand and was buried in the Karori Cemetery, Wellington City, Wellington, New Zealand.[citation needed]
