Nathaniel Bullock was born circa 1735, in Hanover county, Virginia and later made his residence in Lincoln county, Virginia, which would become the "Kentucky District" and later the state of Kentucky, when that state was established June 1, 1792. His family also lived in what was called the 96th District (abolished in 1800) and Johnson county, South Carolina, where he died after 1815.
Nathaniel Sr. is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as Ancestor #A016886. Their records indicate that he married Mary Hawkins. Applications for membership in the society have been made by the descendants of their son, Hawkins Bullock, who married Frances Roy Gordon; and of their daughters, Mary P. Bullock, who married Dabney Gholston; and Clarissa Bullock, who married John Lindsay.
Details regarding Nathaniel Bullock Sr.'s birth, residence and death comes from a pension of his son Hawkins Bullock, [1] who enlisted during the American Revolution and is DAR Ancestor A016871.

Bullock, Nathaniel - The 400 acre plat in Wilkes county, Georgia, was surveyed for Nathaniel Bullock and is found in Plat Book B, page 24. The warrant for the survey was issued March 10, 1784 by Zachariah Lamar, Senior Justice, presiding at a Land Court held in Wilkes County. The survey was executed on March 14, 1784 by James Finley, D.S. The survey is bounded on the east by John Conner, vacant and James Dorroughs; on the north by vacant and William Pollard; on the west by Hodges; and on the south by Joel Phillips and John Conner. The plat is bisected by Kettle Creek. Nathaniel and his wife Mary sold 400 acres on Kettle Creek to Alexander Gordon on August 21, 1787. [3]
The Find A Grave memorial for Nathaniel (Benjamin?) Bullock, Sr. [4] gives his date of death as 1802, in Oglethorpe county, Georgia. According to DAR records, Nathaniel Bullock born circa 1760, in Virginia, died after 1820, in Oglethorpe county, Georgia. The Find A Grave memorial is perhaps a combination of the two, who may very well be father and son.
