Biography
Sophia G. Bunker was born in 1807, the daughter of Enoch Bunker (1771–1845) and Sally Wiggin (1772–1862).
She married Jonathan Brown James (1806-1862). They had the following children:
Mary Francis James (1831–1893).
Alexandra Melvina James (1833–1833).
Amanda Melvina James (1833–1908).
Sarah Bunker James (1834–1874).
Sophia George James (1836–1923).
Charlotte Ann James (1837– ).
Hiram Kenny James (1838–1903).
Anna Jane (Annie) James (1840-1913).
Lucy Maria James (1842–1897).
Jane Rebecca James (1844–1917).
Enoch James (1845–1845).
After her death several of her children were raised in different households and took different surnames.
She died in 1847. Burial: Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Adams County, Illinois, USA. Plot: Row 1 South part.
