Reverand Benjamin Franklin Burden was born 5 July 1783 in Maryland or Kentucky. The 1850 census shows Benjamin was born in Maryland and 1860 census shows Kentucky. He was the son of James Burden and Maria Brain.[citation needed]
He was married 6 November 1801 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to Elizabeth Tully.

Benjamin died 12 May 1862 and was buried at Barnetts Lick Cemetery, Morgantown, Butler County, Kentucky.[2]
