Biography

Garland M. Burgess, son to Edward Burgess and Nancy Anne Francis, was born in Saint James Parish, Goochland, Colony of Virginia on 29 Dec 1766[1].

He married Lavina Louisa Brumfield on Jan 8, 1787 in Montgomery County, Virginia [2].

They move to Floyd County, Kentucky with their family where they are found in the early censuses[3][4].

Garland was born in 1766. He was the son of Edward Burgess and Ann Francis. He passed away in 1832.
