Both Nina and Floyd completed high school.
The 1950 US census for Dixfield, Maine lists the residents of a home off Route 142, on Holt Hill, as head of household Floyd Byron (41), a spinner at a wool mill, his wife Nina A Byron (40), son Francis A Byron (16), son Elwood Byron (15), son Lynn G Byron (10), son Glenn D Byron (7), son Randall F Byron (4), brother Donald F Byron (39), single, a wood truck man at a lumber camp, and mother-in-law Nettie R Burnham (65), widowed.
Nina died in 2002 and is buried at the Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton, Maine.
