The sources show two different husbands, both named Joseph Sturges. One must be wrong.
In 1823, she is mentioned in her uncle, Ebenezer Burr's will.[1]
Joseph Sturges, 73 yrs old, Sarah 70 yrs resided Fairfield in 1850., Henry A 39 yrs, Jane 33 yrs, and 6 children[2]
She died on 23 March 1855 in Fairfield from cancer in the neck.[3]
Probate
Her will is dated 10 November 1854 and proved on 30 April 1855 in Fairfield. She mentions her son Peter B. Sturgis, and Henry A. Sturgis.[4]
Her inventory was completed on 26 May 1855 in Fairfield.[5]
