Biography

Clement Nance Burton is the son of Joseph Burton (1766 - 1836) and Dorothy (Nance) Burton (1776 - 1850). I'm leaving the parents basically because I've changed the information previously but others simply change it to whatever they want. I feel that the Nance Memorial is the most accurate information and will leave what I have until more solid proof is found.)

Clement married Ann T. Meriwether, daughter of John M. Meriwether (1774 - 1854) and Mary Patterson Bell Meriwether (1777 - 1836)

• Joseph C. Burton, b. 5 Feb 1845, d. 1926. Married Emma J. Lansing, b. 1849, died 1909. Both buried at Lynwood Cemetery, Butler County, Iowa.

• Mary Elizabeth Burton, b. 24 Apr 1848. Married F. Champlin.
