Bybee enlisted from Fluvanna Co into the VA State Line 17th Regiment for 18 months in Apr 1781. Captain William Loverley; Cols Thomas Gaskins, Thomas Posey. He was pensioned at the rate of $60 per annum commencing March 4th, 1831, for service as a private for 18 months in the Virginia Continental line. His widow was pensioned in a like amount. [1]
