Green Branson Caddell (b. 1810, d. Bef. 1870)

Green Branson Caddell (son of Daniel Caddell and Emelia Unknown) was born 1810 in Moore Co., N.C., and died Bef. 1870 in Neither Green nor his wife Margaret listed in Moore Co., 1870 census.. He married Margaret Black in 1828.

• 1840 Moore Co. Census shows Neill Caddell living in Dwelling #183 and Daniel Caddell living in Dwelling #181. Green B. Caddell is living in Dwelling #188.

Amy Sadler Seitz: The parentage of Green B. Caddell has not been verified. According to Census Records, and ages of children listed under Caddell head of households, we believe Daniel and Emelia Caddell to have the strongest probability of being Green's parents. This is our research.

From Wayne Caddell in Missouri, Bill Caddell's cousin:

Bill reports that he visited Moore County, N.C. (perhaps in the 1960's?) while working for the U.S. Government as an Investigator. He was able to talk an older local Caddell and he asked about Green Caddell. Whoever Bill talked to must have been in possession of the very old Caddell Bible. Bill made copies of the pages showing the births of James Caddell's children. That person told him that Green was the son of Daniel and Emelia Caddell. Bill Caddell has been researching the Caddell Family for over 30 years in 2000, lives in Texas, and is now retired from genealogy.
