Biography

Henry was born in 1770. He is the son of Henry Cagle,or Kegel and Catherina Seitz. He passed away after 1860.

He appears to have been married twice. If these were the correct Cagle family: In 1820 to 1840 the family was in Georgia.

The 1830 census has him with an older wife, which would have been his 1st wife. [1]

The 1840 census shows Henry age between 60-70 and his wife was between 20-30, which would match the 1850 census dates for Henry and Mary. There were not any children listed with them in 1840. [2]

In 1850 his wife was Mary age 40 (1810), born in North Carolina. The family was living in Tennessee in 1850 and 1860. The 1850 census would have included children from his first and second marriages, it looks like he married his second wife about 1840, resulting in only three of the children in 1850 being from the second marriage: twins: Emaline and Leonard born in 1844 and Margaret born in 1849.
