Biography

Charity Cain was born on 4 Nov 1828 or 11 Apr 1828 in Virginia now West Virginia, her father, John Cain, Jr., was 50, and her mother, Nancy Hickman, was 42. She married Emarios James Leep on July 29, 1854, in Ritchie County, Virginia. They had eight children in 17 years. She died on March 21, 1890, in Elizabeth, Wirt County, West Virginia, at the age of 61. She is buried on her homeplace family plot, now called Leep Cemetery #2, Wirt County, West Virginia, USA.
