J. Burton Campbell, 82, of Chicora R.D. 3, died yesterday at his home. Mr. Campbell was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church and the Operating Engineers Union.
Mr. Campbell had been a farmer and raised cattle, and was also a heavy equipment operator for over 20 years for Bracken Construction Co, until his retirement.
Born June 23, 1906 in Troutman, Butler County, he was the son of John B. and Mary McGinnis Campbell.
His wife Mildred M. (Hahn) Campbell, died July 23, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Dale B. and Dean G. Campbell, both of Chicora R.D. 3; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister, Glenda Burkett of Chicora R.D. 2; a number of nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery.
