Funeral services for Mary Canoy Posey, 92 of Vidalia, LA will be held at Ferriday Church of God on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11 AM with Rev. Victor Stewart and Rev. Julius Roberts officiating. 3:30 PM Graveside service will follow at Magee City Cemetery, Magee, MS under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Mary Posey was born on June 8, 1919 in Mendenhall, MS and passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She was a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, a Home Maker and an active member of Ferriday Church of God. She was instrumental in starting the Church of God in Wiggins, MS where she was a charter member.
