David was born in 1838 in Pennsylvania. [1] He was the son of Gabriel Henry Carkhuff Jr. and Rebecca Cole. He married Mary E. Logan. [2] [3] [4] He passed away in 1909 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and is buried in Espyville Cemetery, Espyville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. [5] [1]
