Elizabeth Carper, the daughter of John Carper and Mary Peck, was born in Fincastle, Botetourt, Virginia about 1785. She married William Mendenhall on June 20, 1803 in Strawberry Plains, Jefferson, Tennessee.[1] They had 12 children.[2]
William passed away August 2, 1840 in Orange Township, Shelby, Ohio. Elizabeth married secondly, Cephes Carey as his third wife in Miami County, Ohio. Elizabeth passed away January 22, 1861 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. She was buried in Graceland Cemetery, Shelby County, Ohio.[2][3]
