Biography

U.S. Southern Colonies Project logo
Mary Carr was a Maryland colonist.

Mary Carr was the daughter of Thomas Carr & Elizabeth Price. No record of her birth has been found, but she was most likely born around 1724 in Anne Arundel County. She is mentioned in the 1758 will of her father as Mary Bowen. Thomas Carr left her a legacy of three negroes and a third of his estate.[1]

Mary must have died after 1770 because she is mentioned in the will of her husband.
