Biography

Hannah was born on 15 July 1795 in Stratford, Orange, Vt, USA. She was the daughter of Parker Carr and Judith (Preston) Carr.

Hannah was named in the probate for Parker Carr.[1].

Hannah Carr married Moses J Ladd on 15 October 1812 in Cabot, Vermont, United States.[2]

In 1850 she was enumerated in Waterford, Caledonia, Vermont, United States.[3] The household included Alonzo Ladd 23, Milo E Ladd 17, William W Ladd 15, Moses Ladd 58, Hannah Ladd 55, Mariam Ladd 31, and Orange L Ladd 25. Moses was a farmer.

In 1860 she was enumerated in Waterford, Caledonia, Vermont, United States.[4] The household included Moses J Ladd 69 years, and Hannah Ladd 65 years. Moses was a farmer.

In 1870 she was enumerated in Waterford, Caledonia, Vermont, United States.[5] The household included Moses Ladd 78, Hannah Ladd 74, Orange S Ladd 45, Ann Eliza Ladd 39, Mary E Ladd 11, Hattie A Ladd 6, Milo E Ladd 5, and Edward B Dow 22. Moses and Orange were farmers.

In 1880 she was enumerated in Waterford, Caledonia, Vermont, United States.[6] The household included Orange S Ladd 55, wife Ann E. Ladd 49, daughter Mary E Ladd 21, daughter Hattie A Ladd 17, son Milo E Ladd 15, mother Hannah Ladd 84, and other William Stewart 30. Orange and Milo were farmers. Mary and Hattie were teaching school. Hannah was widowed. William was a farmer.

Hannah died in 1890.

Hannah was mentioned on a memorial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Saint Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States with a death date of 1 March 1890.[7]

There were two Hannah Carr born about 1795 in Vermont or New Hampshire.

I just did the research for Hannah, to find the two different Hannah, their parents and spouses. I recommend that we disconnect Hannah from her spouse and child. There is enough information in the research notes to create a new Hannah. Let me know if you would like me to do this.
