Sophia graduated from the New York Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1908. She was accepted as a nursing sister in the Canadian Army Medical Corps, and served overseas in England, France and Canada. in World War 1. [5]
When Sophia was 40 she married Ernest S Anderson on 1 November 1920. The couple had 2 children: Ronald Ford Anderson and Lawrence Ernest Carr Anderson. [6]
Sophia was in Toronto in 1931 with Ernest and their two sons. [7]
