Biography

Sophia was born on 15 April 1880 in North St Eleanor's, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was the daughter of George Washington Carr and Sarah Hope (Compton) Carr.^{[1] [2]}

In the 1891 census Sophia (age about 10) was living in Lot 17, , Prince Edward Island, Canada.^[3]

In 1901 Sophia (age about 20) was living in Lot 17, , Prince Edward Island, Canada, working as a dressmaker.^[4]

Sophia graduated from the New York Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1908. She was accepted as a nursing sister in the Canadian Army Medical Corps, and served overseas in England, France and Canada. in World War 1. ^[5]

When Sophia was 40 she married Ernest S Anderson on 1 November 1920. The couple had 2 children: Ronald Ford Anderson and Lawrence Ernest Carr Anderson. ^[6]

Sophia was in Toronto in 1931 with Ernest and their two sons. ^[7]

She died in Toronto on 12 August 1959. ^[8] .^[9]
